Early voting begins Monday, voters will decide on funds for state water supply

El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Early voting begins Monday in El Paso County for the November general election. Voters will decide on nine amendments to the Texas constitution.
The most noted is Proposition 6, which is meant to help with the state's limited water supply. Prop 6 would create a fund that regional water authorities could use for water projects. It is meant to help secure a reliable supply of water for the state's growing cities and farming industry.
El Paso legislators Senator José Rodriguez, State Representative Marisa Márquez, State Representative Joe Moody and other elected officials will hold a press conference Monday to discuss the state's water crisis and the importance of Proposition 6. The press conference will be held in front of the El Paso County Courthouse
In San Elizario, residents will vote for or against incorporation.
Early voting will continue through Friday, November 1st. The general election is November 5th.
