Philadelphia signs troubled NFL quarterback...

Michael Vick will be back on the gridiron this fall.

The football star who served time for his involvement in a dog fighting ring has signed a two year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

In Philly Friday morning, Vick talked of forgiveness.

"You only get one shot at a second chance and I’m concuss of that," said Vick.

For Michael Vick that second chance comes with the Eagles.

Just weeks after being released from federal prison after serving time on dog fighting charges the disgraced star signed a two year deal with Philadelphia.

"I made some mistakes done terrible things made a mistake now I want to be part of the solution and not the problem," said Vick.

From fans there was mixed reaction.

"I’m cool with Michael, he adds to an already explosive offense can you say Super Bowl baby,” said Daniel Daughtry.

"If he sits there and all year the cameras are on Michael Vick making us look bad just sitting there as a second string, bad signing," said fan Nick Lanbenson.

And from PETA a strongly worded statement that they were disappointed the eagles have, quote, chosen to sign a man who hanged dogs from trees.

But Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb says it is time to move on.

“For all who are dog lovers, and I have dogs myself, i've looked past it and I think everybody else should as well,” McNabb said.

Reports are Vick will earn 1.6 million dollars this year with a team option for the second year at 5.2 million.

Partially reinstated, he is eligible to play in the third preseason game and if fully reinstated in time, could suit up for the season opener.

A controversial comeback sure to be closely watched.

Michael Vick may be back in a football jersey, but he is far from out of the spotlight.
