EL PASO — Don't know what to do with that old television or computer? Take it to the Greater El Paso landfill.
The City of El Paso environmental services department began accepting electronic waste, also known as e-waste, at its landfill located on 2300 Darrington Road. Electronic waste taken to the landfill will be recycled.
This service is free and limited to residential customers. Electronics from businesses will not be accepted.
No documentation is needed if disposing of electronics at the landfill, which is open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A recent El Paso Water Utilities bill and corresponding identification, such as a driver’s license, is required when dropping off electronic waste at a CCS. The sites are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and are located at: 4501 Hondo Pass (entrance off of Stahala); 2492 Harrison; 121 Atlantic; 1034 Pendale; and 4200 Delta.
