EL PASO - One man is under arrest on suspicion of driving drunk and leading sheriff's deputies on a chase.

Investigators say Eric Gomez, 33, got into an accident early this morning in the 1300 block of Zaragosa.

We're told Gomez saw a deputy coming and drove off, nearly hitting the deputy's cruiser.

A chase continued to the intersection of George Dieter and Esther Lama where Gomez finally pulled over.
