EL PASO – El Paso County Sheriff's Deputies will be on the lookout for drunk drivers leading up to Independence Day.

The Sheriff's Office will be conducting a DWI Enforcement Wave June 27, 2011 thru June 30, 2011 and July 1, 2011 thru July 6, 2011.

Extra officers will be focusing on DWI patrols in high risk locations during times when alcohol-related crashes are most frequent.

Does that mean if off duty police officers are out partying and get stopped for drunk driving they will get a ticket, arressted, fined and thrown in Jail just like any civilian would in the city of El Paso!!!!! yeah what ever.
