El Paso - A drunk driver is under arrest on suspicion of hitting a police patrol car.

Investigators say Melany Garcia rearended the cruiser at the intersection of North Mesa and Osborne Sunday.

The officer driving the cruiser says Garcia was drunk.

He suffered minor injuries.

The patrol car received extensive damage.
