EL PASO — A 22-year-old driver was in critical condition after a car wreck in northeast El Paso.

Deputies said the man was driving on Transmountain at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday when he lost control of his car and struck a center concrete barrier, causing the car to roll several times.

The man was ejected and crews found him about 20 feet from the car.

It's unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.

Deputies closed the eastbound lanes for several hours during the investigation.
