We begin in Salem, New Mexico. That's where Sheriff's Deputies say just before noon on Wednesday a body was found in the 700 block of Salem Road. We're told the Crime Investigation Division was called and is currently investigating.

At the corner of Sarah Arzola and Lou Andes a man called police to say he found a .45 semi-automatic gun. Deputies recovered the gun and placed it into evidence.

In the 2300 block of Sentanario deputies say a silver ring, wedding ring, Sony camcorder and a watch were stolen out of a house.

Next up in the 7200 block of Moongate a person came home to find their front door wide open. Deputies say someone went into the house through the side window, but they didn't take anything.

We end our report in Mesilla, NM. That's where deputies say Christopher Bustamante crashed into a brick wall and a tree in the 3000 block of Los Arenales. Deputies say after the crash Bustamante drove off. The property owner followed the car's fluid trail and so did deputies. They found the car parked in front of a house in the 2300 block of W. Union. Deputies say the driver was found inside, and they say he was drunk. Bustamante was arrested for DWI.
