Another city leader is likely leaving El Paso.

Deputy City Manager Sean McGlynn has been picked to become the next city manager of Santa Rosa, California. McGlynn was chosen out of 40 applicants.

He served as Interim City Manager of El Paso earlier this summer after Joyce Wilson stepped down.

McGlynn has yet to accept the position in California, but if he goes it would leave City Manager Tommy Gonzalez with only one active deputy city manager.

Deputy City Manager Jane Shang was placed on administrative leave earlier this year and isn't expected to return.

Neither is fellow Deputy City Manager Carmen Arrieta-Candelaria.
