Deputies Respond to Back-to-Back Robberies
EL PASO — Early Thursday morning around 6:30 am, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an aggravated robbery call at a Quick Silver 66 store on 14421 Montana Ave. Within six minutes, they were dispatched to the Exxon-Ram on 13900 Montana Ave. for the same reason.
A preliminary investigation revealed a male subject entered both locations, minutes apart. Deputies received information that the male subject fled in a white Hyundai, unknown direction of travel, and was last seen wearing a white cap, grey shirt and blue jeans.
The male subject is said to have first entered the Quick Silver 66 store and handed a note to the clerk, possibly demanding money. The second robbery, minutes later at the Exxon-Ram store, the same occurred in which a male subject also entered the store and handed a note to the clerk. The subject made way with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency from the second robbery. It is unknown at this time why the subject who entered the first store was unsuccessful.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
