Deputies find suspect hiding in empty pig pen
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — A trail of footprints led to the arrest of Samuel Beltran, 33, in East El Paso County.
Deputies responded to a family violence assault at a home in the 13100 block of Soleen Saturday evening.
When deputies arrived, Beltran had run away from the scene, but deputies found him three houses away hiding in an empty pig pen.
Beltran was reportedly uncooperative and combative during the arrest, and also reportedly broke a passenger window in the patrol car.
He was treated at the hospital for injuries he suffered during the arrest, and then was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
The victim in the family violence incident was treated on the scene.
Beltran was charged with assault family violence, resisting arrest and/or transport and criminal mischief. He also had two different criminal mischief cases pending from two separate incidents.
