UPDATE (Saturday at 6 a.m.): Traffic now detoured and the following roads/highways are closed in El Paso

Interstate -10

-Westbound lanes closed at Mesa Exit Ramp (Exit 19 A)

-DETOUR:Yandell Dr. to Mesa St., onto Sunland Park Dr. and back onto I-10

-Eastbound lanes closed at Sunland Exit Ramp (Exit 13)

-DETOUR: Sunland Park Dr. to Mesa St., onto Wyoming Ave. and back onto I-10

Traffic as you can expect, will be a nightmare in the mornings this weekend.

Here's how the closures will work:

ASARCO DEMOLITION / April 13 (Saturday):
Paisano (US 85) will close at 4 a.m.
-Westbound lanes closed at Santa Fe St. and Ruhlen Ct.Eastbound lanes closed At Sunland Park Dr. and Executive Center Blvd.

I-10 will close at 6 a.m.
-Westbound lanes closed at Mesa Exit Ramp (Exit 19 A)
-DETOUR:Yandell Dr. to Mesa St., onto Sunland Park Dr. and back onto I-10
-Eastbound lanes closed at Sunland Exit Ramp (Exit 13)
-DETOUR: Sunland Park Dr. to Mesa St., onto Wyoming Ave. and back onto I-10

Any parked vehicle on I-10 within the closure limits will be towed away by the El Paso Police Department.

CITY HALL DEMOLITION / April 14 (Sunday):
I-10 will close at 8 a.m.
-Westbound lanes closed at Mesa Exit Ramp (Exit 19A)
DETOUR: Yandell Dr. to Mesa St., onto Executive Center Blvd. and back onto I-10
-Eastbound lanes closed at Executive Center Blvd. (Exit 16)
-DETOUR: Executive Center Blvd. to Mesa St., onto Wyoming Ave. and back onto I-10
-Once the demolitions are completed, the contractor will sweep the interstate and perform an investigation; then all lanes will be open.
