The death toll from an outbreak of fungal meningitis continues to increase.

The Centers for Disease Control announced Saturday that two more people have died, one in Tennessee and another in North Carolina, bringing the total to 23.

The number of people infected has risen to 284.

Federal investigators have linked the outbreak to potentially contaminated steroid shots.
