El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Rain poured in Tuesday right around traffic hour, leaving drivers stranded pushing their cars to safety.
"We had to go get a couple of mops and a shop vac and just try to control the water that was coming in the buidling," said Rick's Hot Rods employee Eric Porras.
It wasn't just the roads that were flooded, homes and businesses in the Upper Valley saw their share of flooding.
The flooding posed a danger of ruining employees' at Rick's Hot Rods ability to produce steel fuel tanks.
"It would ruin the stuff on the floor," said employee Rick Valdez. Itt would stop production so that would be real bad for us because right now we're real busy and were behind so were just happy that everything turned out good".
As El Paso Water Utilities crews spent much of the day working, it became evident, other Upper Valley businesses and homes weren't as lucky.
