Dallas bishop: "Bishop Seitz will be missed"
Dallas, TX (KTSM) — Reverend Mark Seitz becomes the seventh bishop of the El Paso Diocese, and until now he has spent his entire career working in Dallas. He was a priest up until 2004.
We spoke with the bishop of that diocese, Reverend Kevin Farrell, to hear his thoughts about the appointment.
"I think it's a wonderful choice. my only regret is you're taking him away from me. He's a very well respected pastor that's been here for many, many years and has worked here tirelessly, and especially with the Latino community. He's had a great love and a great desire to work with them," said Bishop Kevin Farrell.
Bishop Seitz entered the seminary in 1972 when he was just 18 years old.
