Cycling event aims to raise funds for survivors of domestic violence

Breaking the cycle of domestic violence by cycling.
The first-ever event for El Paso is coming this weekend.

County Attorney Jo Anne Bernal talks to NewsChannel 9 about awareness for those who survive domestic violence, and their transition to leading better lives.

Funds raised will go towards scholarships to help get victims of domestic violence back on their feet.

Participants will be able to choose from 3 different courses:

· 12 Mile course: Starts at Album Ave, right on Wedgwood, East on Montana Ave., turn around at Joe Battle, and back to Album Park.
· 20 Mile course: Starts at Album Ave., right on Wedgwood, east on Montana Ave., turn around at N. Zaragosa, and back to Album Park.
· 50 Mile course: Starts at Album Ave., right on Wedgwood, east on Montana Ave., turn around at N. Zaragosa, and back to Album Park.
