An El Paso man who is accused of brutally beating his half-brother, ultimately causing his death allegedly became enraged with his brother after he skipped work, according to the arrest affidavit obtained Tuesday.
A jury sentenced the man dubbed as the 'Manhattan Heights Rapist' Thursday morning. He was sentenced to three life sentences for each aggravated sexual assault charge and an additional life sentence for the aggravated robbery charge.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operation officers seized 5.7 pounds of heroin at the El Paso port of entry Monday. The seizure was one of 28 drug seizures made by area CBP officers during the last seven days.
