Woman injured in Central El Paso shooting
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — The El Paso Police Department say they are investigating a shooting that injured a 19-year-old woman on Tuesday evening in Central El Paso.
EPPD say that the woman, who was a passenger in a 2005 Kia Spectra was driving along the 3800 block of Bliss in Central El Paso late Tuesday evening when an unknown man fired shots from a rifle at the Kia.
Police say that the suspect was on foot and may have been traveling with another man at the time of the shooting.
The 19-year-old female victim initially went to Providence Memorial Hospital, but was later transported to University Medical Center for treatment. Her condition is unknown at this hour.
EPPD say they will continue to investigate, and anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Crime Stoppers of El Paso at (915) 566-8477.
