Woman charged with stabbing boyfriend
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — A 40-year-old El Paso woman is behind bars after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend during an argument Monday morning on El Paso's East Side.
El Paso Police allege that Barbara Escobar, 40 was arguing with her boyfriend, 52-year-old Victor Martinez in a home in the 1500 block of Pullman around 9:15 a.m. Monday morning when she stabbed him in his right arm and left thigh.
EPPD arrived on the scene to find Martinez leaving the area, bleeding from the cuts that he received during the fight. Police investigators learned that Escobar allegedly punched Martinez and then stabbed him with a kitchen knife during the fight.
Martinez was transported to Del Sol Medical Center for treatment of his injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Escobar was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Dating Violence. Escobar had several outstanding misdemeanor warrants which she was also booked for. Her bonds totaled $21,205.90.
