Three Las Cruces teens arrested following El Paso mall robbery

El Paso, TX (KTSM) — A follow-up to a story we first reported to you on Wednesday, three Las Cruces teenagers were arrested following a robbery inside of the Dillard's Department Store in Cielo Vista Mall.
At approximately 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon, police allege that Gilbert Caldwell, 17, Antonio Deshaun King, 19, and Ray Collins 19, all from Las Cruces, entered the Dillard's Department Store and stole various items of clothing. The Dillard's loss prevention employees attempted to stop the three; however, they managed to run out of the store, shattering the glass door on their way out. They were able to escape the mall parking lot via a black 2007 Toyota Carolla.
Responding officers in the area were able to obtain a description of the vehicle from 911 dispatch. Plain clothes Officers, working a special assignment in the area, quickly spotted the Toyota at the intersection of Gateway West and Hawkins. Due to heavy rush-hour traffic, Officers were able to approach the vehicle and took all three into custody without incident.
King, Caldwell and Collins were all arrested and charged with Theft over $500, under $1,500 and Criminal mischief over $50 under $500, they were all booked into the El Paso County Jail.
