Reports of three men with a gun leads to truck stop arrest of pair of teens
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Two El Paso teens were arrested by El Paso Sheriff's Deputies early Monday morning at the Flying J Truck Stop located at 1301 Horizon Blvd. after authorities allege that they were pointing a paint ball gun resembling an automatic rifle at several parked vehicles around the truck stop.
Deputies were called at around 3:00 a.m. Monday morning in reference to three people with a gun. An off-duty Border Patrol Agent who was refueling his personal vehicle at the time, saw the trio walking through the parking lot with what appeared to be an automatic rifle. They were reportedly seen pointing the rifle at several parked cars and toward the Flying J building.
Once Sheriff's Deputies arrived at the scene, the three fled into a nearby residential neighborhood where deputies located two of the teens. The third suspect was not located. A paint ball gun resembling an automatic rifle was recovered not far from where the two 16-year-old males were located.
The two teens were referred to the Juvenile Probation Department with charges of Terroristic Threat and Evading Detention.
