Man sentenced to ten years for deadly West El Paso crash
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — An El Paso man was sentenced to ten years in prison in connection with a DWI motorcycle crash that killed his passenger, 26-year-old Diane Valdez Bernal on June 11, 2013.
Daniel Branden Miller, 33, pleaded guilty to intoxication manslaughter earlier this year and was sentenced to 10-years in prison in the 210th District Court.
According to El Paso Police Officers, Miller was speeding on Mesa on his motorcycle when he slammed into a Jeep that was turning from Paragon onto Mesa. Valdez Bernal, who was Miller's passenger, died at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep and two two teen aged passengers were uninjured and remained at the scene.
