When they arrived at the scene, they found 46-year-old Arturto Villareal stabbed in the abdomen.  Villareal taken to nearby University Medical Center with injuries that were initially reported as non-life threatening.

During the course of the investigation, EPPD learned that Villareal had gotten into a fight with 50-year-old Paul Lomeli Jimenez when the argument escalated and Jimenez allegedly stabbed Villareal in the abdomen twice.
