Man arrested for allegedly stabbing brother in NE El Paso

A 52-year-old El Paso man is behind bars after police say he stabbed his brother in the neck with a knife at a Northeast El Paso home on Monday night.

Jesse LaFleur of 6100 block of Sun Valley allegedly became involved in a fight with his younger brother, 49-year-old David LeFleur when the argument escalated to the point where Jesse LaFleur stabbed his brother in the neck at 9:00 p.m. Monday night.

The younger brother was transported to University Medical Center for treatment.

El Paso Police arrested Jesse LaFleur and charged him on Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and was additionally charged with possession of marijuana under 2 ounces after police say they found the drug on LaFleur. He was booked into El Paso County Jail on bonds totaling $10,300.

A search of LaFleur's criminal history indicates that he has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 1987 including convictions for criminal mischief, burglary of a building and false report to a police officer.
