A 28-year-old from Fort Bliss was arrested after 3:00 a.m. Monday morning after he attempted to throw a rock into the front glass door at El Paso Police Headquarters.

Officers at the Central Regional Command were called out at 3:17 a.m. after Ryan Maloughney, 28, was allegedly discovered yelling in front of Police Headquarters. Maloughney then allegedly threw a rock at the front door, which hit the door frame. Maloughney then picked up a second rock and threw it at the glass door, causing it to break.

EPPD say Maloughney then fled the scene, but police were able to locate him as he was running in the 3100 block of Yandell and San Marcial where police took him into custody.

Maloughney was charged with Criminal Mischief over $50 and under $500. He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $750 bond.
