Longhorn looter: FBI searching for DFW bank robbery suspect

The Dallas FBI - Sherman Resident Agency and Sherman Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance to identify a man responsible for a bank robbery that occurred in Sherman, Texas, on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. The alleged robber may live or work in the greater DFW metroplex or in Oklahoma.

The robbery occurred at the Bank of Texas located at 307 West Washington Street in Sherman. The man entered the bank, approached the teller window and verbally demanded cash. Although the robber told the teller he had a weapon, no one was physically injured. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, witnesses saw the man leave on foot and escape through a wooded area north of the bank.

The man is described as a white with grey/blonde hair, in his late 40's to early 50's, approximately 6’0” - 6’3” tall, weighing around 200-220 pounds. He wore sunglasses, a sleeveless, orange University of Texas t-shirt, dark athletic shorts, running shoes and a tan baseball cap with a camouflage brim.

The suspected robber is considered armed and dangerous.
