Juvenile, teen charged in connection with far east El Paso party stabbing

El Paso, TX (KTSM) — The El Paso Police Department's Crimes Against Persons unit has charged two people in connection with an east side stabbing at a house party that left 19-year-old Julian Galvan dead and 16-year-old Adriana Villegas fighting for her life March 30th.
EPPD says that they have detained a 16-year-old in connection with Julian Galvan's death. The young man was turned over to the Juvenile Probation Department for Galvan's murder. Due to his age, no other identifying information will be released about the teen suspect.
A second man, 19-year-old Cesar Legarda, has been charged with Criminal Attempted Murder in connection with Villegas' stabbing. His bond has been set at $750,000. According to the arrest affidavit, Legarda admitted to stabbing Villegas in the neck while he was at Galvan's famly home the day after the murder.
Due to the ongoing investigation, the El Paso Police Department has declined to release Legarda's mugshot at this time. At last update, Villegas was still at Del Sol Medical Center for treatment of her stab wounds.
