El Paso Crime Stoppers are looking for a woman who allegedly attempted to shoplift at a Mission Valley Wal-Mart and almost left her young child behind in the process.

The suspect  entered the Walmart store located at 9441 Alameda on Monday, February 17th where she allegedly began placing batteries and clothing items into her purse while walking through the store. Walmart's loss prevention employee saw the woman and attempted to stop her at the exit of the store.

However, that's when authorities say the woman rushed the Walmart employee, pushed him out of the way and left her young child behind in the process. The woman quickly returned for her child and again pushed the security employee who was by that time attending to the scared child. The woman grabbed the child and ran out of the store again in an attempt to avoid being detained for the theft.

Anyone with any information on the identity of the woman captured on surveillance video involved in this robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso immediately at 566-8477(TIPS), on-line at www.crimestoppersofelpaso.org or you can send a text message by entering the key word “CRIME1” (no space and include the quotation marks) plus your tip information, and text it to CRIMES (274637). You will remain anonymous and, if your tip leads to an arrest, you can qualify for a cash reward.
