EPPD: Man arrested on suspicion of DWI, unlawful carrying of a gun

El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Officers with El Paso Police Department's DWI Task Force arrested and charged 33-year-old Luis Fernando Santillana with DWI and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon after Officers spotted him driving over 100 MPH on I-10 West Friday morning.
EPPD spotted a black 2013 Cadillac XTS driving westbound on I-10 near mile marker 21 around 12:27 a.m. Friday morning. Police say the driver of the Cadillac, Santillana, was allegedly weaving in and out of traffic traveling in excess of 100 miles per hour.
Officers were able to stop Santillana just before the Sunland Park off-ramp. EPPD determined that Santillana was intoxicated and also found a 9mm handgun on the passenger floor board of the vehicle.
Santillana was booked into the El Paso County Jail and charged with DWI and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. His bonds totaled $1,350.00.
