EPPD make arrest in alleged El Luchador aggravated assault case
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — A 24-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly stabbing another man following a traffic accident in the parking lot at El Luchador Bar in late January.
EPPD allege that 24-year-old Fabian Ramirez was involved in a traffic accident in the parking lot at El Luchador, located at 1613 N. Zaragoza, on January 20, 2014. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash allegedly approached Ramirez, who then took out a knife and began stabbing the 29-year-old victim in the chest.
The victim attempted to block the knife and received cuts to his fingers. Ramirez and another man allegedly chased the victim around the parking lot and began to beat and kick him.
Ramirez left the El Luchador parking lot, and the EPPD Gang Unit obtained a warrant for Ramirez' arrest on Aggravated Assault charges. He was later arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $100,000 bond.
