A routine traffic stop led to a foot pursuit in El Paso's Lower Valley on Saturday afternoon. El Paso Sheriff's Deputies pulled over a white Jeep, driven by 29-year-old Anthony Pedregon in the 7800 block of La Senda Dr.

During the stop, Pedregon allegedly gave the Deputies a false name. When the Deputies confronted Pedregon about it, he fled the area on foot toward North Loop. Deputies finally located Pedregon near a bank in the 7700 block of North Loop Dr. and placed him under arrest.

He was later positively identified, and a check of Pedregon's name revealed that he had multiple warrants out of his arrest.  Pedregon had two warrants for possession of cocaine and one additional warrant for resisting arrest search/transport.

EPCSO Deputies also charged Pedregon with a separate charge of evading arrest and failure to identify. Pedregon was booked into the Sheriff's Office Jail Annex on bonds totaling $205,500.
