An El Paso area teenager has died as a result of a hit-and-run crash in front of her Central El Paso home on Tuesday.

Alma Reaux, 18, was standing in the street outside of her home on the 200 block of California on Tuesday afternoon when witnesses say she became involved in an altercation with a person inside of a gold or maroon SUV.

The SUV left the scene, and in the process, struck Reaux. Reaux was transported to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries by El Paso Fire/Medical where she later died.

The investigation is ongoing and El Paso Police ask that anyone with information regarding this death is asked to contact the El Paso Police Department at (915) 832-4400, or you can remain anonymous and possibly qualify for a cash reward by contacting Crime Stoppers of El Paso at(915) 566-8477.
