The week of April 6-12, 2014 is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week in the United States. Across the nation, thousands of communities, organizations, and individuals will join together to pay tribute to crime victims and advocate for victims’ rights.

Annual Crime Victims' Memorial Ceremony

THIS SUNDAY – April 6, 2014
8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
Ed Marquez Library at Yucca Park
610 Yarbrough
(South on Yarbrough to San Paulo)

The memorial service will pay tribute to those in the El Paso community who have lost their lives to violent crime. A bell will ring followed by the reading of 1,468 names engraved on the Crime Victims’ Memorial. The ceremony will also recognize the names of victims to be added to the memorial this year.  The program will feature an inspirational presentation by crime victims, members of law enforcement, and victim advocates to include music by Bel Air High School Bag Pipe Band.

The public is encouraged to attend this free event honoring crime victims in the El Paso Community.
