Reward now $20,000 for Most Wanted Fugitive from El Paso

UPDATE: The reward for Benjamin Dominguez, 47, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive and this month’s featured fugitive, has increased to $20,000 for information leading to his capture if the tip comes in during the month of May.

The Barrio Azteca gang member has an extensive criminal past and is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender and a parole violation.


The Texas Department of Public Safety has added a man with known ties to the El Paso area onto it's 10 Most Wanted Fugitive list.

Benjamin Dominguez, 47, is a known Barrio Azteca gang member with an extensive criminal history who is now wanted for failure to register as a sex offender and a parole violation.

DPS believes that Dominguez is a transient who has lived in El Paso, Socorro, Las Cruces and Modestro, CA. His criminal record includes charges for indecency with a child, assault, possession of a controlled substance and burglary. Dominguez was previously featured by the U.S. Marshals Service during Operation Guardian, a national initiative targeting the country's most dangerous noncompliant sex offenders.

Dominguez is described as 5 ft 7 inches tall weighing approximately 225 pounds. He has used several aliases, and has several tattoos on his arms, left wrist and neck. Dominguez has been known to change his appearance, so the community is encouraged to take a good look at both provided photos of Dominguez in order to identify him.

There are four different ways to provide anonymous tips:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Text the letters DPS – followed by your tip – to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.
  • Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
  • Submit a Facebook tip at by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).


All calls, texts, e-mails and Facebook messages are anonymous. Do not attempt to make contact with Dominguez, he is considered armed and dangerous.
