Dona Ana County credit card theft suspects sought

Authorities with the Dona Ana County Sheriff's Department are asking for the community's assistance in identifying a couple who is suspected of trying to use a stolen credit card at a gas pump around 1:30 a.m. June 8.

The couple, who was traveling in a white Hyundai Veloster with black trim around the rear window with Texas plates parked a car at a gas pump at the Pic Quik on Don Roser and University Ave. around 1:30 a.m. June 8th.

The couple then attempted to use a credit card that had been reported stolen from a vehicle parked on Cholla Road, approximately two miles from where the couple attempted to use the credit card.

Anyone with information on the man or woman seen in the surveillance video is asked to call the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office, (575) 525-8884 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can also send a tip via text message to CRIMES (274637) using the keyword LCTIPS.
