Arson suspected in Las Cruces residential blaze

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers suspect that someone set fire to a home in the 1300 block of Thomas drive last week, and now they're offering a $1,000 reward for information that could help identify the possible suspect or suspects.

Las Cruces Fire Department responded to a fire at 1304 Thomas Drive at 9:00 p.m. last Tuesday, January 28. LCFD were able to extinguish the blaze in twenty minutes, but the home already suffered serious fire and smoke damage throughout.

The home was unoccupied at the time of the incident, and no one was injured in the fire. However, LCFD have reason to believe the home was deliberately set on fire.

Anyone with information that can help identify the suspect or suspects responsible for setting fire to the home is asked to contact Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to CRIMES (274637), keyword LCTIPS.
