Alleged DWI driver had twelve outstanding warrants

An El Paso man found himself behind bars early on Wednesday morning after police saw a passenger of his truck leaning out of the rear passenger window not wearing a seatbelt.

The EPPD police officer pulled over 33-year-old Ramsey Carter in the 2600 block of Saul Klienfield at 2:19 a.m omn Wednesday morning when they saw Carter's passenger leaning out of the vehicle.

When officers approached the 2008 Ford F-10 they determined that Carter was intoxicated and placed him under arrest for DWI with a blood alcohol limit over .15.

While investigating the incident, officers also discovered that Carter had twelve outstanding Municipal warrants from traffic violations including driving with an invalid license, failure to maintain financial responsibility and speeding in a school zone.

Carter was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on bonds totaling $4,211.
