EL PASO — County Judge Veronica Escobar released former County Commissioner Wilie Gandara Jr.'s letter of resignation. 

"Dear Judge Escobar,

I am writing to formally notify you that I am resigning from my position as County Commissioner. I am aware that my attorney, Joe Spencer, has provided a letter of resignation; however, this letter will serve as my confirmation of my immediate resignation.

Willie Gandara, Jr."

This was a follow-up to a resignation letter released earlier Wednesday by his attorney Joe Spencer.
