County Commissioners to vote on multi-million dollar projects to improve county transportation system
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — On Monday, El Paso County Commissioners are expected to vote on a nearly $400 million project to improve the county's transportation system.
The cost includes more than $200 million in building new roads and fixing old ones in the City of El Paso, as well as areas outside the county - cities like Socorro, Horizon, Clint, and unincorporated areas.
One of the county's main sources of funding for these projects is using the money from vehicle registration fees.
El Paso County increased those fees by $10 in August.
Tuesday's meeting will take place at 500 E. San Antonio in the Commissioners Courtroom Room 305 at 9:30a.m.
