EL PASO - City council today will decide whether to end its agreement with the El Paso Mental Health and Mental Retardation Center.
Yesterday the county's commissioner's court expressed their concern over the possibility of the city pulling out. County representatives said it would send the wrong message to the state that our local municipal ties are not working together on preserving mental healthcare. City representative Steve Ortega said he wants one entity to be in charge to improve accountability on the part of MHMR.
We'll keep you posted throughout the day.
