EL PASO - Trial has begun for an El Paso executive accused of public corruption.
Jury selection got underway this afternoon in the case against Ernesto Lopez, who worked at the National Center for the Employment of the Disabled.
Lopez is charged with embezzling million of dollars from government programs.
NCED was supposed to employ mostly people with disabilities to produce military uniforms. But the feds claim NCED was not hiring those disabled workers and therefore committed fraud to get federal contracts.
