Convicted felon wanted for walking out of Alamogordo courtroom during trial
EL PASO — The Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department is searching for Abraham Piedra, 32, a wanted felon who is accused of walking out of an Alamogordo courtroom in the middle of his trial.
According to Sheriff's Deputies, Piedra showed up to court on February 7th for his trial on drug charges, but left during a break and did not return.
He was found guilty on six drug charges, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Piedra has seven previous felony convictions.
Deputies are concerned because Piedra's ex-wife and children live in Doña Ana County, and he has reportedly threatened them before.
Piedra is five feet, nine inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
