Convicted Deputy Killer Found Guilty in Second Murder Trial
LAS CRUCES - A jury for Michael Astorga's second murder trial found him guilty of second-degree murder Wednesday.
The jury returned with the verdict after eight hours of deliberation.
Astorga was convicted for the 2005 murder of Candido Martinez, 27, of Albuquerque.
The trial was originally set in Albuquerque, but was moved to Las Cruces.
Astorga has also been convicted for the murder of Bernalillo County Deputy James Mcgrane, who he shot and killed in 2006.
