Hurricane-force winds stopped construction is some areas of town, while other crews kept working.

If you weren't outside, you missed all of the action. Those assigned to work in the rough weather had to decide whether to keep at it, or give up. Foreman Joe Marrufo stuck it out. "Well, it'll be kind of tough," said Marrufo. "You can see it's pushing us around a bit so we'll try our best to get our job done."

A crew boss near Fred Wilson told NewsChannel 9 he was shutting down due to the wind damage. That damage included signs down, a porta-potty tipped over, and scaffolding on a brand new over pass that looked like it was going to come crashing down.

In Horizon, NewsChannel 9 found constructions workers hard at work. The boss there said he was keeping an eye on the weather. He said he was debating shutting down for the day.
