Construction expected on 11 railroad crossings
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — The City of El Paso is helping modify the amount of train noise in several El Paso neighborhoods.
As part of a joint project with Union Pacific Railroad, eleven railroad crossings will allow trains to pass while sounding their horns less frequently.
This new project would require the permanent closures of the following crossings: Estrella Street, Cebada Street, Boone Street, and Cadwallader Drive.
The following railroad crossings will remain open and undergo upgrades to include median and new crossing arms: San Marcial Street, Grama Street, Copia Street, Chelsea Street, Glenwood Drive, Concepcion Street, and Clark Drive.
