EL PASO - Because of the construction closure on El Paso Drive and Alameda, Sun Metro will detour Routes 21 and 22. Buses traveling outbound, east on Alameda will turn left onto Paisano, left onto Chelsea returning to the regular route. Buses traveling inbound will travel the same detour in reverse.

Seven stops will temporarily be deactivated on El Paso Drive between Chelsea and Alameda. Drivers will make courtesy stops as needed and when able to do so safely.

The Texas Department of Transportation has closed the westbound (north side) lanes along Alameda Avenue from Concepcion Dr. to Boone St. The two eastbound lanes are supporting eastbound and westbound traffic. The impacted routes are 21, 22, 25, 61, 62, 66 and 204.

Sun Metro will continue to service the area; however, traffic congestion may cause delays. Eight bus stops will be temporarily deactivated and two temporary stops will be placed. Seven stops will continue to service the area.
The eight deactivated stops on Alameda are:

• the stop near Linden on the north side
• the stop near Tobin on the north side
• the stop near Boone on the south side
• the stop near Tobin on the south side
• the stop near Fullan on the south side
• the stop near Concepcion on the south side
• the stop near Concepcion on the north side
• the stop at 5120 Alameda on the south side

Two temporary stops have been placed near Concepcion on the eastbound and westbound lane, just east of where the construction begins. Bus stops on the north side of Alameda will be located within the construction site but almost parallel to their existing locations.

This is all subject to change depending on any unforeseen construction issues.
