Congresswoman Fighting For Her Life After Shooting

UPDATE - Federal Chief Judge John Roll and nine-year-old girl among dead
TUCSON, AZ - Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is in critical condition after being shot in the head at a political event Saturday morning in Tucson.
Giffords was holding a meet and greet with constituents when a gunman opening fire, shooting Giffords at close range. At least four people, and as many as a dozen were shot. Giffords was taken to a local hospital where she underwent surgery. Law Enforcement officials are reporting the gunman has been taken into custody.
Giffords, a 40-year-old Democrat, won Arizona's 8th District Congressional seat in 2006 by defeating Republican Randy Graf. She was elected to a third term this past November. Prior to serving in Washington, Giffords had served in both the Arizona State House and Senate.
Giffords is married to Mark Kelly, a NASA Astronaut and former Navy Pilot.
Among the dead victims include Federal Chief Judge John Roll and a nine-year-old girl.
