Complaints against soldiers in Mexico are rising dramatically according to a civil rights group. Mexico's National Human Rights Commission says complaints have increased six-fold. They say reports went up from 182 in 2006 to more than 1, 200 in 2008. The complaints range from illegal searches to heavy-handed treatment of detainees. Mexican President Felipe Calderon defends the soldiers, citing the drop in drug-related violence since their deployment in February.
