Comic Con Is Back

EL PASO - Comic book lovers rejoice; Comic Con is returning this September and will be held at the Convention Center.

EPCON 2011 will be here September 10-11 and is presented by Broke Tree Comics. Peter Mayhew, also known as Chewbaca from Star Wars, will be among the guest list, as well as Anthony Montgomery from Star Trek: Enterprise.

Tickets are already on sale. A one-day pass goes for $15 and a two-day for $25. You can buy them through Ticketmaster or at the Plaza Theater Box Office.

Last year was fun and i got to see a bunch of original fan books and art of many different genre's and it was great to see independent people doing their thing and their world to you as an individual.

In case no one really knew but if you seen "Scott Pilgrim vs the World" movie it was based of a comic/graphic novel that a guy started doing at places like this. So it wonderful to see other peoples work. You never know it could be a movie or a tv show one day.

Gee, in San Francisco pre-paid tickets were $20 and at the door they went for $25. Seems the organizers should charge the same rate across the board.

I can say that I've been but I don't know that I'd go again.
