College credit for engineering students
El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — Students at a local high school will earn college credit thanks to a new partnership.
Ysleta High School's Environmental Science and Engineering Academy has partnered with Texas Tech University and El Paso Community college to offer students college credit.
"This is going to help us to further our education by allowing us by giving us a gateway into Texas Tech and into our further careers," said Ysleta High senior Mickey Castañeda.
Credits earned will count toward an associate's degree at EPCC and towards an Environmental Science and Engineering degree at Texas Tech.
